The EMCOM Emergency Victim Locator has been serving the public in emergency and disaster situations since 1997
Victim data is input by EMCOM's nationwide network of Community Emergency Preparedness Coordinators, HAM Radio Operators and personnel from medical facilities, and public and private emergency agencies and organizations.
Administrators from outside organizations may receive passwords for access to

Emergency Preparedness Coordinators should aid their neighbors to leave in areas designated as evacuation
areas. You may enter the locations of displaced persons (shelters, etc.) in order that their family
members know their status. The PDA/Cell Phone system access is available for use from remote locations for
both Emergency Management personnel in their manage section, and Community Coordinators from the leadership
section of the system. (Where such access is locally available.) Community Coordinator HAM operators are urged to use the ECHOLINK system or other
communications to relay health and welfare information to be input by remote
EMCOM personnel.)
